Homemade Pop-Tarts

Growing up, I thought Pop-Tarts were the coolest thing ever. My mom wouldn’t buy them for us, and so I always loved going to friend’s houses who had them. And now I know, I could have been making them for myself all along. Turns out, they’re super easy!

For Valentine’s Day, I decided to make Pop-Tarts for breakfast. And seriously, they took 15 minutes to prep. So easy!!

Ingredients
1 pack of pie dough
1 jar of jam
1 cup of powdered sugar
1/2 cup of milk
Sprinkles

1. Preheat the oven to 425. To get started, roll your pie dough out as thin as you can, without it ripping. Now cut it into rectangles by hand (using whatever knife you like). Try to make sure the rectangles are the same size.

2. Now prepare a baking sheet by lining with a silicone liner or spraying with cookie spray. Set half of the rectangles of dough on the sheet. And place a spoonful of jam in the middle and spread, leaving space around the edge. Now place the other rectangles on top. Use a fork to go around and crimp the edges.

3. Now bake for about 8 minutes until they have slightly browned.

4. Now, while they are cooling, place 1 cup of powdered sugar in a bowl. Then slowly pour in milk until you have a frosting consistency (you may not use all of it). Now pour the glaze on top of all the Pop-Tarts and then decorate with the sprinkles of your choice!

And, now go enjoy! Or surprise someone in bed with these.
